The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has just released the 2025–2026 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL) — and there are some important changes that participants, families, and providers should be across.
Understanding the NDIS pricing guide can feel a little overwhelming, but don’t worry — we’ve got the key info to help make sense of it all.
What’s New in the 2025–26 Pricing Guide?
This year’s pricing updates aim to better reflect the real costs of providing quality support. Here are some of the big changes:
1. Disability Support Worker (DSW) Cost Model
The DSW cost model has been increased in line with wage inflation, recognising rising employment and service delivery costs. This is a big win for sustainability and workforce quality.
2. Nursing and Domestic Supports
Updated pricing reflects the complexity and level of care involved in these supports, with clearer structures for different tiers of support.
3. Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) & Centre Capital Costs
These costs have been adjusted to support more realistic funding for property and infrastructure needed to deliver these services safely and comfortably.
4. Therapy Services
Therapy pricing has been refined to align with market expectations and better reflect practitioner costs.
5. Intermediaries – Plan Management & Support Coordination
Updates provide greater clarity around roles, expectations and price limits, helping ensure consistency across providers.
6. Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI)
There’s a stronger focus on early, tailored support for young children and their families, with structural changes to funding and service definitions.
Will My NDIS Funding Plan Change?
Yes — the NDIA has confirmed that participant plans will be adjusted to reflect the price increases.
This means:
- Your budget will be updated so you’re not left out of pocket due to pricing changes.
- You should see a funding increase that aligns with the new rates for supports you already receive.
- If your plan doesn’t reflect these changes yet, keep an eye out or speak with your Support Coordinator or LAC for guidance.
